TRAINING PROGRAM
FIRST RESPONDER
Professional responder education for individuals who may provide structured emergency care before transfer to paramedics or another higher level of care.
About This Program
First Responder training expands beyond general first aid. Participants develop a systematic approach to patient assessment, immediate interventions, ongoing monitoring, teamwork, documentation, and transfer of care.
The program involves a significant academic and practical workload. Learners should be prepared to study terminology and principles, practise repeatedly, participate in scenarios, and demonstrate competency through assessment.
Who This Program May Be For
The program may be appropriate for fire-service personnel, rescue teams, workplace response teams, public-safety professionals, and others whose responsibilities require First Responder-level training.
The Forge Standard in Practice
Students learn to connect assessment findings to action, recognize changes in patient condition, communicate a clear handover, and perform within their training and scope.
Program availability, admission requirements, delivery format, certification, and course duration vary. Contact Rescue Forge for current details.
